We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who stopped in during Shop Hop this summer!! We appreciate you! We are also so thankful to the ladies who worked in the shop this summer - Monica, Olivia, Jenny, Elizabeth, Sally and Sheryl! You ladies made it a success!!
Jan is excited to announce her newest member of the family, Princess Lily of Little Island Lake. Princess Lily is a giant whopping 5 pounds of fluff. So cute. So loveable.
It's been a while since we posted a newsletter, early summer was busy with shop hop and then our fearless leader Jan is recovering from hip replacement surgery. Our newsletter gal has been caregiving since April. So - we apologize that you haven't heard much from us lately! We are planning several classes for fall, take a look below and you can always find class information on our Facebook page and website as we add new classes!

Quilted Sweatshirt Jacket - September 11 & 14
We're excited about this 2-session class that Jeanne Hamilton is teaching! You'll need a your machine and the usual sewing notions, a crew neck sweatshirt with a high percentage of cotton fiber (wash and dry it before class!). The project requires 12 fat quarters of your choice, recommend a couple of solid colors, a 1/2 yard of fabric for the binding, matching thread if desired for outer binding, safety pins, pressing spray, fabric glue, rotatory cutter. A Stripology Ruler XL if you have one is handy to have! If you need supplies, stop in before September 11 to get them. Sign up fee is $10.
ByAnnie Clam Up Zipper Pouch - September 16 or October 1
Everyone needs more zipper pouches!! If you've wanted to try a ByAnnie pattern, this is a good beginner class. The patterns includes 5 different sizes of pouches, from Extra Small to Extra Large. You'll need a main fabric and a lining fabric, plus one additional coordinating fabric. This is a great project to use your Fat Quarters or Fat Eighths! Stop in the shop to pick up the zippers and hardware. Sign up fee is $15.
Kimberbell Machine Embroidery Stitching Hour Event - September 26 & 27 (Virtual or in person)
If you love Halloween, this event is for you! This is a 2-day machine embroidery event where you will complete 8 spooky projects for Halloween. The kit includes everything you need except for thread and stabilizer. The event kit even includes a lighted black tree that you plug into a USB! If you're local and want come to the shop, we would love to see you. We'll also host it virtually for our friends who live farther away. We will join via Zoom on the 26th and 27th and send our virtual attendees a link that day. We'll need time to ship your event kit (and any other supplies you need), so be sure to sign up soon so we can get it to you before the 26th. Additionally, there are 6 bonus designs for this event that are just too darn cute! We won't have time to stitch them during the event, but you can pull from your stash at home and do them however you want. Cost is $179, and that includes the event kit. Shipping is extra. Samples are in the shop - stop by to see them!
New Fabric!
We get new fabric every week! Be sure to stop in often and see what's new. Here are some of the newest:
Tilda Something Blue - We are a Tilda Retailer and we carry all the newest lines. Something Blue came in early June and has been selling like crazy! If you love it, better get some while you can!
Stonehenge Organics - this beautiful line is in gorgeous neutral colors. We've got jelly rolls, charm packs and yardage!
Colourful Leaves - Beautiful purples and teals!
When Snow Falls - We love Deb Strain and we love her new wintery line! There's a panel and coordinating yardage.
New Kit!
Moda Independence Day Collector's Edition Box
This cute table runner kit comes with a "sweet roll" precut (20 8x8 pieces) and the pattern to make a 16x44 runner. There are extra treats in the box too: a mini charm pack, a coordinating tin, a little zipper pouch an easy press pen, and a couple other little surprises! It's so cute!
