Shop Hop 2025 is Over, But We're Already Planning for Shop Hop 2026!
We want to say a BIG thank you to the over 1,300 Shop Hoppers (and their companions) who visited our store during June and July! We loved seeing old friends and making new friends! We hope everyone had a good time and felt loved while you were in our store. Special thanks to our staff who worked so hard to get the shop ready and took care of you during the Hop! Our dynamic team of Jan, Monica, Sheryl, Sally, Elizabeth, Colleen and Christi put their heart and souls into making sure you you had a good experience. Shop Hop is both exhausting and exhilarating at the same time!!
The 2026 Shop Hop fabric has been released and you can find it on the All Michigan Shop Hop page! Next year's fabric beautiful, and it features our lakes and several lighthouses too. We are already thinking of things to prepare! 2026 will be Michigan's third Shop Hop, so the collectible item at each shop will be something new, not a fabric square. More to come on that as we learn more.
Local Talent Abounds!
Our talented Husqvarna/Viking educator Cindy Peck created this year's Shop Hop quilt for our store, and she has already promised to do the 2026 quilt for us! Cindy also digitized the state of Michigan for machine embroidery and that is available at the store for anyone who wants it.
Colleen Shaffer, a talented local artist painted a beautiful collection jar for donations to Rayola (a local non-profit that provides comfort to children in need and provides services in 17 Michigan counties. Donations go directly to Rayola to help purchase supplies for quilt batting and other items needed. Rayola makes quilts, pillowcases and other items for children pulled into foster care. We're proud to be a "donation center" for Rayola. If you have a quilt top or finished quilt you would like to donate you can bring them to the store.
New Fabrics, New Patterns
In July, we were so honored to be able to host Moda fabric designer Deb Strain. She shared her design process and how her designs come to life in the fabric making process. Two of her latest designs are now in the shop. Come in to see Winter Friends and I love Fall the Most of All.
Coach House Designs creates patterns for Deb Strain that showcase her great fabric, along with other Moda, Riley Blake and fabric designers, too. We are excited to announce that we now carry these Coach House Design patterns too! Here's a sample of these patterns:

Lori Holt's new Gentler Times fabric line has also arrived!
Coming in September!
If you're a Tilda fan, you're going to love their newest fabric line which releases on September 1: Tilda's Merry Little Christmas! We have alot of interest in this line and will be busy kitting as soon as it comes in! This line is so popular it had literally sold out at the distributor! We are hosting a TRUNK SHOW for this beautiful fabric the second week of October.
