Shop Hop Update: We are in the second month of the All Michigan Shop Hop! We have had a tremendous response and have been blessed with over 1,000 shop hoppers so far! We are overwhelmed and so grateful for the amazing support and enthusiasm that this Shop Hop has generated! If you are "new" to our shop, we welcome you and hope to see you again soon! If you are one of our long-time customers, we thank you for your continuing support. We love you all! We learned a lot during this first shop hop and look forward to next year! Pat and Monica supplied us with wonderful cookies! If you follow our Facebook page - our little shop was honored by several hoppers as their favorite shop!
Shop Hop Fabric Reorder: Due to the overwhelming response to the Shop Hop fabric, in an unprecedented move, the Shop Hop panel and border print are being reprinted! We have ordered additional bolts of these two fabrics, and they will be delivered in August. Despite pre-orders placed last fall, the Michigan Shop Hop fabric sold out very quickly. We are thrilled to have a chance to get more bolts of these two popular fabrics.
ByAnnie Trunk Show July 20 through August 3! We are honored to have a a ByAnnie Trunk show! We will have several of her samples at the shop for all to see. Her bags are so much fun to make! Get inspired and then take a class from our very own Tracie Harmon who is an excellent ByAnnie bag maker!
We Are Now an OESD Retailer! We are excited to add OESD products to our inventory! OESD is a Machine Embroidery designer and supply company. You'll start to see OESD branded supplies, such as stabilizer, tools like the Perfect Punch and alligator clips, and more. We will have an "instant download" of OESD machine embroidery pattens! Watch for an Affiliate link on our website soon. We'll also be carrying Isacord thread. More to come as we bring this product in.
New Fabric! Tilda Creating Memories: This new Tilda fabric line released in mid June and we have it all! There are fabrics for every season. If you're not sure what to make with it, we have several kits using the patterns featuring this fabric line. Tilda fabric has such a luxurious feel to it. We also have the coordinating chambrays. Come in and see it!
Classroom Status Update: We are still eagerly awaiting the completion of our classroom so we can offer more classes; however, we are currently at the mercy of Consumers Electric to get the classroom finished. We are thankful to Kevin who is taking good care of the progress.
Big Woods Block of the Month! It is coming SOON!! We have a limited amount of kits available (6 or less!) so if you have been on the fence about this BOM, get off the fence now and let us know if you want to join! It uses Tula Pink Fabrics: Besties, True Colors, Pint-Sized Prints and Solids.
This new BOM begins August 2024 and runs to July 2025 and it's a little different than other BOMs. You purchase the fabric kit through us and then order your digital subscription through Sarah Fielke, the designer. The fabric kit is $299 plus tax.
- Visit sarahfielke.com and buy a digital subscription to the BIG WOODS block of the month. The subscription includes access to the digital pattern and supporting instructional videos.
- The digital subscription will be available for purchase on Sarah’s website now. The first set of pattern instructions for the BIG WOODS BOM will be made available digitally starting August 1, 2024.
- The BIG WOODS subscription is available to purchase either on a month-by-month basis or purchased upfront for the full year. The pattern (which is only available via the subscription) is digital format only, which can be downloaded and printed.
- With any Sarah Fielke BOM including BIG WOODS, you will not receive the complete pattern upfront regardless of purchase type.
ByAnnie Ultimate Travel Bag (August 5-Mandatory; August 6, 7, 8 & 9 Optional If Needed)
Tracie Harmon is teaching this class after the ByAnnie trunk show. Class will be held at Castleway Quilting studios in Oscoda which is lovely and a great place for class. Bring a bag lunch. Additional class information, the sample bag and Tracie's contact information is at Erin Matthew Sewing. Once you sign up Tracie will contact you and give you more information about the pre-work.

- The first class (Aug 5) is mandatory for this project.
- Additional days are August 6, 7, 8 and 9. Tracie has made these additional days available for students who want additional days to finish this project. EACH additional day instruction is $30 payable at the day of class.
- Pre-Work: There is required pre-work that must be done prior to the first class including quilting pattern pieces. Directions for this are provided in the written pattern instructions. Tracie is also available for quilting services PRIOR to class.
- Hardware Kits: We will have “hardware kits” for purchase, you MUST let Tracie know if you’d like one made up for you. It will contain the pattern, metal hooks/clips, acrylic Insert, Soft N Stable. It can be customized to include zippers if you let her know what color and size.
- What to Bring With You: You will need to bring your sewing machine and all necessary tools. Please make sure you have a supply of denim needles on hand, we will be stitching through several layers of fabric and foam. You need to match your thread color to your zipper color to maximize the finished appearance. A By Annie Stiletto and the Double-sided Basting tape to be a great facilitator in precise zipper placement and binding attachment. Annie doesn’t recommend pressing or starching the binding that goes around the outside of the bag.
